Bereavement Committee
Help with calling members for food donations, setting up, serving and cleaning up after the reception of refreshments offered for the bereaved family after the Funeral. Each month will have a team. Contact Maria Einolf - 410-792-4895.
Hospitality Committee
Provides an informal gathering for parishioners after the weekend Masses in the Social area. Members are designated to work at a particular Mass on a given Saturday or Sunday. Contact the Mnkandes - 410-964-9515.
Social Committee
Plans events to bring parishioners together for fun and fellowship. Traditionally, This committee plans the International Dinner, Parish Picnic, St. Nick's Feast Day Dinner and works with the Bazaar Committee for food service and the One-Grand Raffle. Fall Bazaar Committee
ST. NICHOLAS BAZAAR: October 14-15, 2011
The annual bazaar resumed in 2007 and is a major fund raiser – and community builder – for the church. It is our hope that every household will contribute to the bazaar in some way, by serving on a planning committee, donating regifting items or baked goods, volunteering to help sell items during the bazaar, or helping to set up/take down the tables and chairs. Your prayers for a successful event are greatly appreciated.
The 2011 bazaar will be held Friday and Saturday, October 14-15, and will include handmade crafts, a bake sale, re-gifting tables, gift basket chance raffle, one-grand raffle, pumpkin patch, cake walks, and a food concession.
New this year: The bazaar will be more family friendly, with children’s activities such as face painting and games.
The bazaar co-chairs are Pat Farmer, 301-776-4546, (send email), and Linda Stone, 301-604-6227, (send email).The planning committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Cry Room March through September. Remaining meeting dates for 2011 are: June 14, July 12, August 12 and September 13. Everyone is welcome.
