Religious Education
St. Nicholas Parish Education Program offers classes for children grades 1st through 8th as well as classes for those who are currently out of sequence in their sacramental preparation. All schooled aged children who are not currently enrolled in a Catholic School and wish to receive the sacraments of First Communion, First Reconciliation and Confirmation should be attending the Parish Religious Education Program.
Classes run Saturday mornings for grades 1- 6, and Sacramental Prep from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM and Monday evenings from 8:15 PM for grades 7 and 8, as well as those in our high school sacramental program. Monday classes start September 20th and Saturday classes start September 25th. Registration forms can be found in the back of church. For more information, please call Hope Benson at 301-725-9622.

Religious Education of our Youth - CCD
Teachers and Aides are needed for classes on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. Elementary school students attend Saturday morning sessions. There is a special session for Elementary school children who have not received their First Holy Communion also on Saturdays. On Monday evenings from 6:50 to 8:15 PM, we have Confirmation Class and a Class for middle and high school students who have not received First Communion and First Penance. Student Registration:
Registration forms are available online, and are also sent to all former students during the summer. There will also be registration for the CCD classes on the weekend of Labor Day after Masses. Students who wish to enter after the normal registration date may be registered by phone any time during the office hours. For exact dates and times of the various programs, please call the Religious Education office.
Adult Education
These are presentations given weekly in Lent and Advent for adults of the Parish by special guest speakers to enrich the spiritual life of our Parish. CONTACTS: Hope Benson - 301-725-9622 & Marion Gould - 301-490-5116
RCIA: Rite Of Christian Initiation of Adults.
Prepares adults who are interested in becoming Catholic. This group also prepares baptized Catholics who have not received their Sacraments. Meets weekly through Fall and Winter and culminates with reception into full membership at the Easter Vigil in the Spring. CONTACT: Marion Gould - 301-490-5116 or send email.
